ISLAMABAD โ Pakistan has strongly condemned the ongoing Israeli aggression against Lebanon. Officials said the attacks have caused heavy civilian losses and major damage to infrastructure.
In an official statement, Pakistan expressed deep concern over the rising violence. It stated that the continued Israeli aggression is harming efforts to bring peace to the region. The government described the actions as a clear violation of international law and basic humanitarian values.
Authorities highlighted that innocent people are being affected the most. Homes, roads, and public facilities have suffered widespread destruction. Pakistan urged the global community to take immediate and practical steps to stop the Israeli aggression.
The statement also reaffirmed Pakistanโs full support for Lebanon. It expressed solidarity with the Lebanese government and its people during this difficult time. Pakistan emphasized the importance of respecting Lebanonโs sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Meanwhile, tensions in the region continue to rise. On Thursday, Israel carried out more airstrikes in Lebanon. These strikes marked one of the largest escalations since the conflict began. Reports suggest that over 250 people have lost their lives in the recent attacks.
The fresh wave of violence has raised serious concerns about the fragile ceasefire. The truce, which was reportedly brokered by former US President Donald Trump, now appears uncertain. Observers fear that continued Israeli aggression could further destabilize the region.
At the same time, diplomatic efforts are underway to ease tensions. Iranian officials are expected to visit Pakistan for initial peace discussions. These talks are seen as an important step toward reducing conflict in the Middle East.
According to sources, the Iranian delegation will later meet a US team. The US side will be led by Vice President JD Vance. The meeting is scheduled to take place on Saturday and may shape future peace efforts.
