Islamabad: Pakistan has developed a secure mobile phone entirely “Made in Pakistan”, designed to ensure data privacy and cybersecurity for users in government and private sectors.
The device, built with local hardware and software, aims to reduce dependence on foreign technology and enhance national digital security. Officials stated that the phone is suitable for sensitive communications, including government, defense, and corporate use.
Experts believe this initiative could boost Pakistan’s technology sector, create local jobs, and promote homegrown innovation in electronics. Authorities also hinted at plans to expand production and potentially make the device available to the general public.
The project is part of a broader push to strengthen Pakistan’s tech ecosystem, improve cybersecurity, and support the “Digital Pakistan” vision.
