Pakistan

Pakistan’s ODI squad, led by captain Muhammad Rizwan, trained indoors in Napier on Friday after rain forced an optional practice session ahead of Saturday’s first ODI against New Zealand.

Rizwan was actively involved in wicketkeeping drills and batting practice, while Babar Azam also took part in warm-up exercises.

Salman Ali Agha, Pakistan’s T20I captain, trained alongside younger squad members.

This three-match ODI series marks Pakistan’s first 50-over assignment since the ICC Champions Trophy, where their performances received criticism. However, head coach Aaqib Javed has backed the experienced squad to deliver strong results.
