CDF General Asim Munir And Libyan Commander-in-Chief Discuss Bilateral Ties

General Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defense Forces, held a key meeting with the Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan Armed Forces to discuss bilateral ties between Pakistan and Libya. The discussions focused on strengthening defense cooperation, regional security, and other mutual interests.

Upon his arrival at the Libyan military headquarters, General Asim Munir was received with a ceremonial guard of honour, reflecting the importance of the visit. The meeting allowed both sides to explore ways to enhance collaboration and address shared security challenges.

During the discussions, the officials emphasized the value of regular dialogue and joint initiatives to bolster bilateral defense relations. They agreed on the need to further develop strategic coordination, intelligence sharing, and training programs between the two armed forces. The meeting marked a significant step forward as both nations seek to expand military ties.

General Munir highlighted that Pakistan remains committed to supporting its partners in maintaining regional stability. The talks also provided an opportunity to discuss potential joint exercises and other collaborative efforts to strengthen operational readiness.

Earlier, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir visited Gujranwala and Sialkot Garrisons, where he reviewed operational readiness and key initiatives aimed at enhancing combat preparedness. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), he witnessed field training exercises and advanced simulator training, praising the high professional standards of the formations.

While interacting with officers and soldiers, the COAS and CDF lauded their morale and commitment to national security. He stressed the importance of rigorous, mission-focused training and continuous improvement in operational capabilities.

The visit and high-level discussions underline Pakistanโ€™s proactive approach to building regional partnerships. By taking steps to discuss bilateral ties with Libya, Pakistan seeks to strengthen military cooperation and address shared security concerns.

The meeting is seen as a foundation for long-term collaboration, reinforcing the commitment of both countries to enhance defense relations and regional stability.
