LAHORE โ Pakistan Railways has shared the operating hours for reservation centers during Eidul Fitr 2026 to help passengers plan their travel in advance.
Officials said that all reservation centers will remain completely closed on the first day of Eid. Travelers are advised to avoid visiting stations on this day.
On the second day of Eid, booking offices will operate on limited hours, opening from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. This temporary schedule is intended to assist passengers while ensuring smooth operations during the holiday rush.
From the third day of Eid onwards, Pakistan Railways reservation centers will resume their normal working hours. Authorities emphasized that travelers should plan their journeys according to these revised timings to avoid inconvenience.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has approved the Eidul Fitr holidays, and the Cabinet Division has issued an official notification confirming the schedule. According to the notice, March 20 and March 21 will be observed as Eid holidays for all government offices operating on five-day and six-day workweeks.
The holiday break is extended further since March 22 falls on a Sunday, and March 23 is already a national public holiday. This means government employees, including those in rail services, will enjoy four consecutive days off.
Travelers planning to use Pakistan Railways services during Eid are encouraged to book tickets early and check station timings to ensure a smooth travel experience. With large crowds expected, early reservations can help avoid last-minute issues and long waiting lines.
