LAHORE: Pakistan Rangers Punjab has announced 205 vacancies for different positions in 2026. The recruitment includes Lady Rangers, religious teachers, cooks, sanitary workers, and support staff.

The Rangers recruitment drive covers positions from BPS-01 to BPS-11. Most applicants must submit their applications by September 25, 2026.

Lady Ranger candidates have a separate registration schedule. They must appear in person between September 28 and October 2, 2026.

Available Vacancies

Pakistan Rangers Punjab has announced 20 vacancies for Lady Rangers under Sepoy General Duty. There are also 50 vacancies for cooks.

Another 50 positions are available for sanitary workers. The department has announced 83 vacancies for other support trades.

These support positions include boatmen, barbers, carpenters, washermen, electricians, masons, plumbers, and painters.

Two vacancies are available for Religious Teachers. These positions are placed in BPS-11.

Qualification Requirements

Religious Teacher candidates must hold Shahadat-ul-Alamiyah from an HEC-recognised institution. They must also meet the required FA or FSc qualification.

Lady Ranger applicants must have passed Middle. Candidates with higher qualifications may receive preference.

Applicants with BSN qualifications or nursing diplomas may also receive preference for Lady Ranger positions.

Cook applicants must have passed Middle and should know cooking. No specific educational qualification is listed for sanitary workers and other support trades.

Age and Physical Requirements

Candidates must be between 18 and 30 years old on September 28, 2026. The age limit includes five years of government relaxation.

Male Religious Teacher and Cook applicants must be at least 5 feet 6 inches tall. Lady Ranger candidates need a minimum height of 5 feet 4 inches.

Sanitary workers and other support trade applicants must have a minimum height of 5 feet 3 inches. Taller candidates will receive preference.

Male candidates must have a 33-inch chest with 1.5 inches of expansion. The minimum weight is 121 pounds, or around 55 kilograms.

Female candidates will have their weight assessed according to BMI standards.

Quotas and Selection

Recruitment will be conducted according to merit and regional quotas. Open merit has been allocated 7.5 percent of the seats.

Punjab, including Islamabad, has a 50 percent quota. Sindh Urban has 7.6 percent, while Sindh Rural has 11.4 percent.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including merged tribal districts, has a 14.5 percent quota. Balochistan has 6 percent, while Gilgit-Baltistan has 1 percent.

Azad Kashmir has a 2 percent quota. Five percent of seats are reserved for minorities.

The Rangers selection process includes registration, medical screening, physical assessment, and written tests. Interviews will also be conducted where required.

Successful candidates will undergo a final medical examination in Lahore. Applicants must bear the cost of required medical tests.

Application Process

Lady Ranger candidates must report to Headquarters Desert Rangers in Bahawalpur. Registration will continue from September 28 to October 2, 2026.

Candidates must bring original documents, photocopies, and two self-addressed postal envelopes. They should also bring PT shoes for the physical test.

Applicants for other positions must apply by post. Their applications should reach Pakistan Rangers Punjab, Lahore Cantt, Post Box No. 6080.

Applications must arrive by September 25, 2026. Late applications will not be accepted.

Candidates must provide educational certificates, domicile, and a NADRA-issued CNIC. They must also submit two photocopies of each document.

Two attested passport-size photographs are also required. Educational documents must have the required verification.

Government and semi-government employees must provide an original NOC. The document must be issued by their department head.

Candidates dismissed from government service or Pakistan Rangers on disciplinary grounds cannot apply. People convicted by a court are also excluded.

Applicants previously declared medically unfit may also face restrictions. Candidates removed from the armed forces for forged documents or misconduct are also ineligible.

Selected candidates will receive salaries according to their respective basic pay scales. Applicable allowances will also be provided.

Pakistan Rangers Punjab will not provide travel or daily allowances. Candidates must arrange their own accommodation and meals during recruitment.
