Pakistan Thwarts Multiple Drone Attacks on Abbottabad, Swabi, and Nowshera

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan’s security forces successfully prevented a series of drone attacks targeting Abbottabad, Swabi, and Nowshera, authorities confirmed. All incoming unmanned aerial vehicles were intercepted before causing any damage.

Officials reported that no casualties occurred during the incidents. Security sources revealed that Afghan Taliban-backed group Fitna al-Khawarij attempted to strike these cities using small drones.

Pakistan’s anti-drone systems responded swiftly, neutralizing all threats. Authorities confirmed that the attempted drone attacks failed completely, and no property or lives were harmed.

Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar also verified that all drones were shot down. He emphasized that the prompt defensive measures ensured public safety in the targeted areas.

Security experts described the incidents as evidence of an ongoing effort by hostile elements to destabilize Pakistan. They pointed to a suspected nexus between the Afghan Taliban and groups carrying out attacks across the border.

Officials said the events highlighted the importance of maintaining high alert levels and strengthening surveillance. Pakistan’s anti-drone systems were praised for their precision and ability to intercept small, fast-moving aerial threats.

“The swift response prevented potential damage and safeguarded citizens,” a security source said. Authorities also confirmed that investigations into the attempted drone attacks are ongoing to identify the perpetrators.

Analysts noted that the use of drones in recent months reflects a shift in tactics by hostile groups. Pakistan’s security forces continue to adapt their defenses to counter these emerging threats.
