Pakistan has issued a strong warning to Afghanistan, urging Kabul to ensure that its territory is not used by terrorist groups to launch attacks inside Pakistan. The statement comes amid rising concerns over cross-border militancy, particularly after recent incidents targeting Pakistani security forces.
Officials emphasized that Pakistan respects Afghanistan’s sovereignty but expects the Afghan government to fulfill its responsibility of preventing militant organizations from operating freely near the border. Islamabad also reiterated its commitment to regional peace and stability, urging enhanced cooperation to counter terrorism.
Authorities warned that continued attacks originating from Afghan territory could harm bilateral ties and regional security. Pakistan has also called for actionable measures and intelligence sharing to prevent further escalation.
