A Pakistani entrepreneur has become a billionaire as one of the four cofounders of the AI coding tool Cursor, following a massive $2.3 billion funding round that pushed parent company Anysphereโs valuation to $29.3 billion.
Forbes estimates that each founderโincluding Michael Truell, Aman Sanger, Sualeh Asif from Karachi, and Arvid Lunnemarkโnow holds a stake worth at least $1.3 billion.
Launched in 2022, Cursor has quickly become a leading AI code editor, serving millions of developers and teams at major companies like Nvidia, Adobe, Uber, Shopify, and PayPal. The company reports annualized revenue surpassing $1 billion, having raised over $3.3 billion in total funding from top-tier venture capital firms.
Cursorโs growth has been meteoric, jumping from $1 million in annual recurring revenue in 2023 to $100 million within a year. The platform allows engineers to generate, edit, and debug code using advanced AI models and recently introduced its own model, Composer, for faster coding and autonomous task handling.
This milestone positions the founders, all under 30, among the youngest tech billionaires reshaping the global AI landscape.
