Babar Azam, the former captain, has been included in the World Cup squad and will lead Pakistan in the mega event. However, star wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan and fast bowler Haris Rauf did not make the final cut, surprising many fans.

Other confirmed players in the World Cup squad include Salman Ali Agha, Sahibzada Farhan, Saim Ayub, Fakhar Zaman, and Shadab Khan. Khawaja Nafay has also been included, strengthening the batting lineup.

The team will feature Faheem Ashraf and Mohammad Nawaz as all-rounders. Spin duties will be handled primarily by Abrar Ahmed, with Usman Khan also included in the spin department.

Pakistan’s pace attack will be led by Shaheen Shah Afridi and Naseem Shah. Additional fast bowlers Usman Tariq and Salman Mirza have been included to provide depth in the bowling unit.

Sources also confirmed that Waseem Junior, Abdul Samad, and Hasan Ali will remain on standby as reserves. These players will step in if injuries or last-minute changes occur before the tournament begins.

The Pakistan Cricket Board is expected to officially announce the World Cup squad soon. Fans are eagerly awaiting confirmation as the team prepares for its campaign on the global stage.
