Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended heartfelt congratulations to the leadership and people of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on their 53rd National Day, expressing pride in the enduring partnership between Pakistan and the UAE. In a message shared on social media, the Prime Minister praised the UAE’s remarkable progress, crediting the vision and wisdom of the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founding father of the nation. He also highlighted the UAE’s continued success under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
The Prime Minister reiterated Pakistan’s strong, historical, and fraternal ties with the UAE, emphasizing the commitment to further strengthen the bilateral relationship, especially in terms of economic cooperation. He wished for the continued prosperity of the UAE and reaffirmed Pakistan’s steadfast commitment to the UAE-Pakistan friendship, concluding with a call for the long-lasting success of this partnership.

The UAE National Day, celebrated annually on December 2nd, marks the unification of the seven Emirates into one nation in 1971, with Ras Al Khaimah joining in 1972. The day, known as the Spirit of the Union, is celebrated with vibrant festivities such as fireworks, parades, and grand ceremonies. It is a time for both locals and expatriates to come together and reflect on the nation’s unity and achievements.
