Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has pledged strict punishment for human traffickers following a boat capsizing near Greece’s Gavdos Island, which involved numerous Pakistani migrants.

The incident saw 39 Pakistanis rescued, while the total number of missing remains unknown. Sharif directed Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi to submit a report and ordered a nationwide crackdown on trafficking networks.
Interior Minister Naqvi instructed the FIA to lead immediate operations against smuggling mafias. President Asif Ali Zardari also condemned human trafficking, offering condolences to the victims’ families.
