Punjab Adds 7 More Electric Buses to Expand Public Transport

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has announced seven additional Electric Buses for Sargodha. The new buses will expand public transport services and improve travel options for residents across the city.

The announcement was made during a meeting with members of the Punjab Assembly from Sargodha.

During the meeting, lawmakers discussed transport services, development projects and other government initiatives in the district.

Lawmakers Welcome Electric Bus Service

The lawmakers thanked Maryam Nawaz for launching the electric bus service in Sargodha. They also praised the establishment of the Nawaz Sharif Institute of Cardiology in the city.

According to the lawmakers, the cardiac facility was completed within a short period. They also briefed the chief minister about the public response to the city’s transport service.

Thousands of passengers are reportedly using Electric Buses every day across several areas of Sargodha. The service benefits residents of Bhalwal, Bhera, Sillanwali, University, DHQ and Shahinabad.

Passengers from Kot Momin and Tehsil Sahiwal are also using the transport facility.

The addition of seven buses is expected to further strengthen the existing public transport network.

Development Projects Discussed

Maryam Nawaz also reviewed several development initiatives during the meeting. She directed lawmakers to closely monitor progress on the Model Village project.

She also asked them to supervise the Suthra Punjab Programme and clean water projects. The chief minister stressed the need to ensure progress on development schemes already underway in the district.

Proposals to speed up different development projects were also discussed during the meeting.

Lawmakers informed Maryam Nawaz about public feedback regarding various provincial government initiatives.

Maryam Nawaz Highlights Comfortable Travel

Maryam Nawaz said she was pleased to see residents travelling comfortably on the new buses.

She particularly mentioned children and women benefiting from the public transport service. The chief minister said Sargodha and other Punjab cities were being placed on a development path.

She added that resources were available to provide better facilities to residents. The expansion of Electric Buses is part of efforts to improve public transportation across Punjab.

Maryam Nawaz also highlighted the provincial government’s approach towards development across different regions. She said balanced development without discrimination was the vision of Nawaz Sharif.

The seven additional buses will increase Sargodha’s electric bus fleet and provide more transport capacity for daily passengers.
