The newly launched Green Agri Mall aims to provide farmers with access to quality seeds, fertilizers, and pesticides at subsidized rates. To further ease farming operations, modern machinery, including drones, will be available for rent, ensuring that farmers can meet all their needs under one roof. The initiative is expected to significantly boost productivity and reduce costs for farmers across Punjab.
In addition to the Green Agri Mall, a state-of-the-art 5,000-acre smart farm has been introduced, focusing on sustainable agriculture through modern irrigation techniques and farming innovations. The goal is to enhance crop yields while lowering operational costs, promoting sustainable farming practices.
An agricultural research center was also launched, which will serve as a hub for soil testing, laboratory services, and agricultural education across Pakistan. This center is expected to contribute to the scientific and technical advancement of farming in the country, providing vital resources for farmers and researchers alike.
During the event, Maryam Nawaz emphasized the projects as the start of an agricultural revolution in Punjab, one that will guarantee the prosperity of farmers and Pakistan as a whole. She also distributed land allotment letters to the children of martyrs and injured veterans in recognition of their sacrifices.
Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir praised Punjab’s leadership role in modern agriculture, highlighting the province’s growing stature as Pakistan’s agricultural powerhouse. He commended the Green Corporate project’s rapid successes and assured the army’s continued support for the country’s economic development.
