A young woman pretending to be an assistant superintendent of police (ASP) was arrested on Sunday after entering the Lahore capital city police officer’s (CCPO) office dressed in a police uniform.
The woman, a resident of DHA Phase 5, identified herself as an ASP and initially received protocol from the security at the entrance.

Authorities reported that she asked to meet the CCPO and demanded he leave his office, which raised suspicions among the security team.
Their doubts grew when they noticed she was wearing “fancy shoes,” which are not part of the official police attire.
When questioned, the woman couldn’t produce any ID or documents to support her claim. It was quickly discovered that she was impersonating an officer.
Civil Lines police were notified, and she was arrested. An FIR was registered against her for impersonation.
