The Punjab government has enforced Section 144 within a 15-kilometer radius of all airports and airbases in the province for a period of 15 days, from June 5 to June 20.
According to the Punjab Home Department, activities such as fireworks, drone and laser light usage, and the dumping of animal waste are banned during this time to prevent risks to flight safety and operations, especially ahead of Eidul Adha.

These measures aim to protect lives and property by minimizing hazards like bird strikes, which are attracted to animal waste near airfields. The Punjab Home Secretary issued the restrictions under Section 144(6) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898.
Additionally, Deputy Commissioners have been tasked with ensuring enhanced cleanliness around airports and airbases to maintain safety in the affected areas.
