ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast light rain and snowfall in northern Pakistan over the next 24 hours. Most parts of the country are expected to experience dry weather, while temperatures will remain low in mountainous areas.

The PMD has predicted light rain in several districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan and Kurram. Dera Ismail Khan and Lakki Marwat may also receive light rain during the night.

Mountainous areas of Gilgit-Baltistan are expected to experience cold weather, with chances of light snowfall at higher elevations. The forecast indicates that Rain and Snowfall will mainly affect northern regions, while other areas will remain dry.

Islamabad is expected to experience dry weather over the next 24 hours. However, mornings and nights will remain cool as temperatures gradually decrease.

In Punjab, fog and smog are likely during the morning in Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, Gujranwala and Sialkot. These conditions may reduce visibility in some areas, particularly during early morning travel.

Meanwhile, Murree and Galyat are expected to remain partly cloudy. Cold conditions will continue during the morning and night.
