ISLAMABAD โ Light rain in Islamabad and Rawalpindi has brought cooler temperatures, with the Met Department forecasting more showers, hail, and snowfall across Pakistan.
The rainfall continues in the capital region, making the weather noticeably colder. The Meteorological Department predicts light rain throughout the day in Islamabad, with the possibility of hail at some locations.
Rain is expected to persist in Islamabad, Murree, Galiyat, and Rawalpindi over the next few hours. Authorities have urged residents to take precautions while traveling.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sees Widespread Rain
Rain has been ongoing since last night in Peshawar and surrounding districts. Showers and thunderstorms are likely in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Shangla, Kohistan, Buner, Battagram, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Bajaur, and Khyber.
Additional rainfall is expected in Peshawar, Kurram, Mardan, Swabi, Charsadda, Nowshera, Kohat, Hangu, Bannu, Lakki Marwat, Karak, and Dera Ismail Khan. Some areas may experience hail, while mountainous regions are likely to see snowfall.
Temperatures across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have dropped significantly. Peshawar recorded 16ยฐC, Malam Jabba 7ยฐC, Saidu Sharif 9ยฐC, Bannu 15ยฐC, Dera Ismail Khan 19ยฐC, and Abbottabad 11ยฐC.

Rain in Sindh and Balochistan
Rainfall is expected in Karachi, Hyderabad, Dadu, Jacobabad, Naushahro Feroze, Kashmore, Larkana, Sanghar, Sukkur, Ghotki, and Khairpur. Shaheed Benazirabad, Thatta, Badin, Mirpurkhas, and Umerkot may also see showers. Hail is likely in some districts.
In Balochistan, rain is forecast for Quetta, Ziarat, Chaman, Pishin, Qila Abdullah, Chagai, Nushki, Zhob, Kalat, Mastung, Barkhan, Kohlu, Bolan, Sibi, Naseerabad, Loralai, Khuzdar, Kech, Panjgur, Awaran, Turbat, and Lasbela. Hail may affect several areas.
Nationwide Impact
The Met Department has warned that rain could hit different parts of Pakistan within four to six hours. Snowfall is expected in mountainous regions, while cities like Lahore may experience continued light rain and a drop in temperature.
In Lahore, the minimum temperature has been recorded at 15ยฐC, with a maximum of 22ยฐC. Cloudy weather is expected to continue in the city for the next five days, providing relief from the recent heat.
