Rain Expected Across Pakistan on Eid-ul-Fitr, Met Department Says

ISLAMABAD โ€“ The Meteorological Department has forecast rain in several parts of Pakistan on Eid-ul-Fitr, which will be celebrated tomorrow.

Officials said a weather system bringing rain-bearing winds is active across the country. Met Department Director Irfan Virk confirmed the systemโ€™s presence and said it may influence weather conditions on Eid day.

According to the forecast, Islamabad and Rawalpindi are expected to experience cloudy skies. Light rain may occur in these twin cities during the day, affecting Eid gatherings.

Rain Forecast for Multiple Regions

The Met Office predicted light rain in other regions as well. Areas of Balochistan, South Punjab, and Sindh may witness scattered showers. Some parts of southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are also likely to receive light rainfall. Officials noted that the intensity will mostly remain light, causing minimal disruption to outdoor activities.

Possibility of Widespread Cloud Cover

In addition to rain, the country may experience widespread cloud cover. Cloudy skies could lead to cooler temperatures in many regions, providing relief from the usual March heat during Eid celebrations.

Authorities have advised the public to stay updated on weather alerts, especially those planning to travel or celebrate outdoors. While the rain is expected to be light, temporary showers could affect traffic and public gatherings in some areas.

Meteorologists said that such early spring weather systems are common and can bring intermittent rain across Pakistan. Residents are encouraged to plan celebrations accordingly and carry umbrellas in regions expecting light showers.
