‘Rehmat Card’ Scheme Explained: How Eligible Families Can Get Rs100,000 Aid

‘Rehmat Card’ Scheme Explained How Eligible Families Can Get Rs100,000 Aid

The Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz, has launched the ‘Rehmat Card’ Scheme to provide financial help to vulnerable families. The program aims to support widows and orphaned children across the province.

Under the ‘Rehmat Card’ Scheme, financial assistance will be given to 50,000 families. The initiative is part of a wider effort to reduce financial pressure on low-income households.

Officials said widows registered under the program will receive Rs 100,000. Orphaned children will also receive Rs 100,000. The payments will be made through JazzCash to ensure easy access.

The government has introduced simple registration methods for the ‘Rehmat Card’ Scheme. Eligible individuals can apply through the CM Rehmat Card mobile application. They can also call the helpline at 1077 for assistance.

To qualify, widows must have their status clearly mentioned on their national identity card. They must belong to a low-income household. They should not already be receiving any government financial aid.

Officials added that applicants must not be government employees or pensioners. These conditions are required to ensure fair distribution under the ‘Rehmat Card’ Scheme.

For orphaned children, registration requires a guardian’s details along with the child’s B-Form. This step is necessary for verification and transparency.

Another requirement is registration in the PSER survey. The mobile number used for application must also be linked to the applicant’s identity card.

The government had approved the ‘Rehmat Card’ Scheme last month in a high-level meeting chaired by Maryam Nawaz. She said the goal is to support widows and orphans who often face financial difficulties.

She emphasized that no deserving family should feel alone. The government, she said, has a responsibility to protect and support underprivileged groups.

Authorities believe the ‘Rehmat Card’ Scheme will strengthen financial stability for thousands of families. It is also expected to improve social welfare delivery in the province.

The program reflects a broader policy focus on direct financial assistance. Officials say it will help ensure timely and transparent support for those in need.
