LAHORE โ A female officer of Rescue 1122 in Lahore has resigned, citing harassment, unprofessional conduct, and retaliation by senior officers. The officer, who served as a law officer in the law wing, claimed repeated complaints were ignored, forcing her to step down.
In her resignation letter, the officer alleged that merit and professionalism were overlooked within Rescue 1122. She described a hostile work environment marked by unprofessional behavior, retaliation, and dubious appointments that undermined the organizationโs credibility.
The officer highlighted multiple recruitment decisions based on questionable credentials. Despite lodging complaints, she said, no corrective action was taken. โThe continuous disregard for merit and dignity made it impossible for me to continue my duties,โ she wrote in her resignation.
Rescue 1122 initiates inquiry
A spokesperson for Rescue 1122 confirmed that the organization has launched an investigation into the allegations. โIf anyone is found responsible, action will be taken according to the law,โ the spokesperson said.
The department also stressed that Rescue 1122 provides equal opportunities to all employees and maintains professional standards. Any violations of conduct, it said, would be addressed promptly to protect the rights and dignity of its personnel.
