Tragic Road Accident in Dera Ismail Khan Kills 11 Family Members

A tragic road accident in the Dhanasar area of Dera Ismail Khan claimed the lives of 11 members of the same family on Friday.

The incident occurred when a vehicle traveling from Khanozai in Balochistan to Dera Ismail Khan suffered brake failure on a steep route. The tragedy turned into one of the deadliest traffic mishaps in the region in recent months.

Accident and Immediate Loss of Life


According to rescue officials, the vehicle lost control and met with an accident at Dhanasar after its brakes failed. Seven people, including five women, a man, and a child, died on the spot. Rescue 1122 teams quickly arrived at the scene, providing first aid to the injured and shifting the bodies to the hospital after completing necessary formalities.

Casualties and Injuries


In total, 11 family members lost their lives due to the accident. While Rescue 1122 recovered seven bodies from the site, four more victims, initially rescued in critical condition by locals, later died at the hospital. The deceased included women, children, and men, highlighting the scale of the loss.

Identities of the Injured


The injured were identified as Darya Khan, Ahmed, and 10-year-old Yousuf. They were given immediate first aid by Rescue 1122 officials before being shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital. Medical staff later reported that their condition was stable.

Rescue and Relief Efforts


Rescue 1122 confirmed that all bodies were transported to the hospital after completing legal and medical procedures. While four bodies were moved with the help of locals, the remaining were shifted using Rescue 1122 ambulances.

This devastating road accident has left the local community in shock, underlining once again the dangers of mechanical failures on difficult routes.
