SARGODHA โ A tragic incident in Sargodha has left the community in shock after a couple reportedly committed suicide following alleged police harassment and extortion. The woman left a video message before her death, revealing the circumstances that led to this heartbreaking act.
In the video, the woman claimed that local police officials had repeatedly threatened the couple. She alleged that the police demanded a bribe of 5 tola of gold and Rs2.5 million. According to her, the authorities threatened physical abuse and remand if they failed to comply.
The woman stated that the couple consumed poisonous tablets to avoid public humiliation. Her video message has since gone viral, sparking outrage and discussions about police misconduct in Sargodha.
