Tensions Rise in Islamabad as Section 144 Imposed Near Serena Chowk

The Islamabad district administration has enforced Section 144 in the federal capital to maintain law and order amid ongoing protests. The decision was taken after demonstrations were reported in different parts of the city.

According to officials, Section 144 bans all public gatherings, protests, and demonstrations. The administration has warned that strict legal action will be taken against anyone who violates the order. Authorities said the measure is necessary to prevent unrest and ensure public safety.

Officials confirmed that the Red Zone in Islamabad has been sealed as part of the security arrangements. The area contains important government buildings and foreign missions. Security around these locations has been increased to avoid any possible disturbance.

The district administration said Section 144 will remain in force until further notice. Citizens have been advised to avoid participating in any public gathering or protest. Authorities also urged people to cooperate with law enforcement agencies during this period.

Despite the restrictions, protests are continuing in Islamabad. Demonstrators have gathered near Serena Chowk, expressing anger over the reported martyrdom of Syed Ali Khamenei following the recent US and Israeli attack on Iran. A large number of protesters were present at the location, chanting slogans and raising their concerns.

To control the situation, police have taken several security measures. Containers have been placed on major roads leading to Serena Chowk. These barriers were installed to block access to sensitive areas and prevent large crowds from moving forward.

Law enforcement agencies have also deployed prisoner vans near the protest site. Officials said these vehicles are available in case arrests become necessary during any violation of Section 144.

Authorities are closely monitoring the situation in the capital. Police and other security personnel have increased patrols in nearby areas to ensure that the law is followed.

Officials said the main purpose of enforcing Section 144 is to maintain peace and prevent any possible disturbance in Islamabad. The administration has again reminded citizens that gatherings and demonstrations are currently illegal under the order.
