A convoy of 75 large cargo vehicles, escorted under tight security, has departed for the Parachinar district, marking a critical operation overseen by Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Adviser on Information, Barrister Dr. Saif. The convoy, carrying essential supplies for the region, is part of a coordinated effort to ensure stability and support for local residents following recent tensions in the area.
Acting on the special directives of K-P Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, Barrister Saif reached Kohat late at night, accompanied by the Kohat Commissioner, DIG, and other key officials. Together, they traveled towards the Kurram border area of Chappri, where the convoy was stationed, under strict security arrangements. The vehicles, a mix of 22-wheelers, 10-wheelers, and 6-wheelers, carried a variety of crucial goods.

The cargo includes five trucks of medicines, ten trucks of vegetables, nine carrying oil and ghee, five trucks loaded with flour, seven carrying sugar, two trucks with gas cylinders, and 26 trucks filled with various grocery items. Police and law enforcement agencies have taken charge of the security responsibilities to ensure the safe passage of the convoy.
Under the Kurram peace agreement, Barrister Saif stressed that any group engaging in aggression after the deal would be treated as terrorists. The government has also initiated plans to clear the region of weapons and dismantle bunkers, emphasizing that open display of weapons and the collection of funds for arms purchases are strictly prohibited.
The peace agreement calls for both parties to submit a coordinated plan for disarmament within 15 days, and any violation will be met with swift action. The government is determined to maintain peace in the region and is taking all necessary steps to ensure security for the convoys and local communities.
