Security Forces Kill 10 Indian-Sponsored Terrorists in Two KP Operations

RAWALPINDI: Security forces have killed 10 terrorists during two separate operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The operations were conducted in South Waziristan and Dir districts.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces thwarted an attempted attack in South Waziristan. The incident took place in the Azam Warsak area of the district.

The militaryโ€™s media wing said a group of militants attempted to target security posts. The attackers were described as members of Fitna-Al-Khwarij.

Troops responded to the attack and engaged the militants during an exchange of fire. Eight terrorists were killed during the operation, according to ISPR.

Security forces carried out the engagement using effective and precise tactics. The attempted attack was successfully prevented, and the militants were neutralized.

In a separate encounter, security forces conducted an operation in Dir district. Two additional terrorists were killed during the engagement.

Authorities also recovered weapons and ammunition from the militants killed during the operations. According to ISPR, the recovered material was taken into custody for further investigation.

The military said the killed militants had been involved in various terrorist activities in the area. Their activities had reportedly posed a security threat to local communities and security personnel.

Following the encounters, sanitization operations are underway in the affected areas. The operations aim to locate and eliminate any remaining militants.

Security forces and law enforcement agencies are continuing counterterrorism operations across the country. Authorities said the campaign is being conducted under the vision of โ€œAzm-e-Istehkam.โ€

The initiative was approved by the Federal Apex Committee under the National Action Plan. It focuses on strengthening efforts against terrorism and militant networks.

The military said counterterrorism efforts will continue at full pace. Authorities aim to prevent further attacks and disrupt militant activities across the country.

The latest operations come amid continued efforts to address security threats in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The province has faced repeated militant attacks in several districts.

Officials said ongoing operations will focus on identifying and targeting militant elements. They will also continue efforts to clear areas where terrorists may remain active.

The military reiterated its commitment to countering what it described as foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism. Security agencies will continue coordinated operations to maintain security and stability.
