Tragic Accident On CPEC Motorway: Security Vehicle of Fazlur Rahman’s Son Kills Two

A security vehicle belonging to the protection squad of Asjad Mahmood, son of JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rahman, was involved in a tragic accident on the motorway in Dera Ismail Khan. The incident resulted in the deaths of two security guards.

According to reports, the accident took place on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) when the security vehicle reportedly slipped and went off the road. Authorities said poor road conditions may have contributed to the crash, though investigations are ongoing.

Police confirmed that four people were inside the security vehicle at the time. Two guards died on the spot, one sustained injuries, and the driver escaped without harm. The injured individual was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Officials have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident. Authorities are examining factors such as vehicle condition, speed, and road safety measures in the area.

The local police and motorway patrol teams arrived at the scene quickly to secure the area and assist victims. Officials emphasized that road safety and vehicle maintenance are being reviewed as part of the ongoing investigation.

The JUI-F leadership expressed condolences over the loss of their personnel. They highlighted the risks faced by security staff while performing their duties and called for improved safety measures.

This incident marks a serious road safety concern on the CPEC motorway, which sees frequent high-speed travel. Authorities urged drivers, including those in security convoys, to exercise caution and follow traffic regulations strictly.

Investigators continue to gather statements from witnesses and examine CCTV footage from the motorway. The findings will help determine whether human error, vehicle malfunction, or road conditions caused the crash.

The tragic accident underscores the dangers faced by security personnel while on duty and highlights the need for stringent safety protocols for security vehicles operating on major highways.

Authorities are expected to release a detailed report once the investigation concludes. Families of the deceased guards are being supported, and the incident has prompted renewed calls for road safety awareness.
