Additional Session Judge Muhammad Farid was critically injured in a shooting by armed assailants in Chohar Sharif, Haripur. The judge was attacked while entering a mosque and was swiftly taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Police reports indicate that the shooting occurred as Judge Farid was heading to prayer. Authorities have launched a rapid investigation and filed charges against the suspects.

Haripur’s district police officer confirmed that three of the four suspects—Ghayoor, Jahangir, and Shehbaz—have been arrested. Efforts are underway to capture the fourth suspect, who remains at large.

The incident has raised alarm about the safety of judicial officials, leading to increased security measures in the area. Authorities are focused on apprehending the remaining suspect and ensuring the injured judge’s safety.
