Shadab Khan Undergoes Successful Shoulder Surgery in London

Pakistan’s all-rounder and vice-captain, Shadab Khan, has undergone Shadab Khan shoulder surgery in London. The 26‑year‑old had been suffering from recurring shoulder pain that affected his bowling and fielding. An MRI scan confirmed the need for surgical repair.

The procedure was completed successfully. Early reports say the operation went smoothly, and Shadab is now recovering. After the surgery, he shared a message with fans, saying he feels much better and thanked everyone for their prayers and support.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed that the surgery was necessary to fix a long-standing issue. Doctors have advised a recovery period of around two to three months, depending on how well the rehabilitation progresses.

Before the operation, Shadab struggled during Pakistan’s recent series. He mentioned having difficulty bowling even simple deliveries due to the pain. Despite the injury, he performed decently in the Pakistan Super League earlier this year and remained a key part of Pakistan’s white-ball squads.

As a result of the Shadab Khan shoulder surgery, he is likely to miss several upcoming international series. These include the T20 matches against Bangladesh and the West Indies, along with home fixtures against Afghanistan.

The timing of the surgery also raises concerns about his availability for the Asia Cup T20, which will be held in September in the United Arab Emirates. The tournament is hosted by India this year. With the expected recovery timeline, his participation now seems uncertain.

Shadab Khan has played a vital role in Pakistan’s cricket setup. He has appeared in multiple formats and has taken over 200 international wickets. His leadership and all-round skills make him an important player for the team.

At the moment, he remains in London, continuing with post-operative care. The PCB medical team is overseeing his rehabilitation.

Fans and officials hope that Shadab will return to full fitness before the ICC T20 World Cup in 2026. His comeback will strengthen Pakistan’s lineup and add depth to both the bowling and middle-order units.
