Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has pledged to completely eliminate terrorism from Pakistan. He promised victory through united national efforts and strong support from the armed forces.
He made these remarks while addressing a national workshop for participants from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Islamabad. The Prime Minister placed national security at the top of his government’s agenda.
A full strategy is now in place to tackle both internal and external threats. PM Sharif said the nation and armed forces stand fully ready to face every challenge linked to terrorism.
He praised Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for its key role in the long fight against terrorism. People of the province and security forces made huge sacrifices over the years.
The Prime Minister recalled how residents opened their homes to millions of Afghan brothers and sisters during tough times. Hosting around four million refugees was a remarkable act of kindness.
PM Sharif also highlighted economic progress. Pakistan has achieved macro-economic stability after difficult phases. The country now focuses on faster growth in agriculture, trade, exports, and IT sectors.
He reminded everyone about the NFC Award in 2010. Punjab led the way, and all provinces gave one percent of their share to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. This step honored the province’s sacrifices in the war on terror.
On regional security, the Prime Minister spoke about last year’s Indian aggression. Pakistan responded quickly and strongly in self-defense. Pakistani forces shot down seven enemy aircraft.
Under the leadership of Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir, the military gave a memorable lesson to the aggressor. PM Sharif strongly condemned foreign-backed social media campaigns against Pakistan’s armed forces.
He vowed to defeat all such malicious designs. The government remains determined to protect the country’s image and institutions.
Pakistan continues its firm resolve against terrorism on every front. With unity, hard work, and honesty, the nation will soon claim its rightful place among world countries.
