Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah announced on Tuesday that a major Tharparkar project has been designed with a total allocation of 60 billion rupees. The initiative aims to boost development in the region and improve living standards.
Speaking at a gathering, the Chief Minister highlighted that Tharparkar is home to six cold deserts, making development projects in the area both challenging and crucial. He noted that three public-private partnership projects have already been signed to accelerate progress.
Murad Ali Shah stated that work is actively underway in the energy sector, focusing on sustainable solutions to meet local demands. Development activities in water, energy, and environmental sectors are rapidly progressing, with authorities ensuring early completion of ongoing projects.
The Chief Minister emphasized that foreign investment in the Tharparkar project reflects strong ties and mutual trust between the government and international partners, including Kuwait. He said, “With the grace of God, these projects will be completed in record time.”
He further added that the development initiatives will provide employment opportunities, enhance infrastructure, and address key issues such as water scarcity and energy shortages. The projects are part of a broader plan to modernize Tharparkar and promote socio-economic growth in the region.
