Sindh Boards To Introduce E-Marking For Matric Exams 2026

Sindh education authorities have announced that they will introduce e-marking for select exams in 2026, aiming to improve transparency and efficiency in the assessment process.

The submission of examination forms for classes 9 and 10 is set to begin soon. Under the new plan, two to three papers of the annual examinations for these classes will be evaluated using the e-marking system.

The Federal Board has already provided e-marking software to the Department of Universities and Boards to support this initiative. The technology will allow examiners to mark answer scripts digitally, reducing errors and speeding up results.

In addition, two to three papers of the intermediate annual examinations will also undergo e-marking across Sindh boards next year. Officials say this step will help standardize the marking process across the province.

Heads of the educational boards described the Federal Boardโ€™s provision of software and technology as a significant move to ensure transparency in examinations. They believe e-marking will also minimize delays in the announcement of results.

Dr. Ghulam Ali Mallah, Executive Director of the Inter Board Coordination Committee (IBCC), Islamabad, confirmed that the examination process and the checking of answer scripts would be fully carried out through IT-based e-marking.

It is noteworthy that in 2025, the Mathematics paper for classes nine and ten was already conducted under the e-marking system. The success of this pilot encouraged authorities to expand the system to more papers in the upcoming year.

By choosing to introduce e-marking, Sindh boards aim to modernize the evaluation process, ensure accuracy, and reduce human errors. Students and parents are hopeful that the shift will lead to fairer and more transparent results.

Officials have urged students to complete their examination forms on time and stay updated on further announcements regarding the implementation of e-marking.
