Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has announced a revised winter Gas Supply schedule for domestic consumers in Sindh and Balochistan. The new timings introduce three daily supply windows under federal government directives.
According to an SSGC spokesperson, the revised schedule takes effect immediately. It aims to provide household consumers with gas during the main meal hours. The company has prioritised domestic use to help families manage their daily cooking needs.
Under the new schedule, gas will be available during three specific periods each day. Consumers can expect supply during breakfast, lunch and dinner hours.
The announced timings are as follows:
- Breakfast: 6:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
- Lunch: 12:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
- Dinner: 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
SSGC has also published the updated Gas Supply timings on its official website and social media platforms. The company said the arrangement would ensure availability during important household cooking hours.
However, domestic consumers in the company’s service areas have experienced limited gas availability for several years. Many households have struggled with irregular supplies and cannot depend on uninterrupted gas throughout the day.
The latest announcement comes after a severe gas shortage affected Karachi on Tuesday. The situation caused concern among residents who faced difficulties accessing gas for their daily needs.
Confusion also increased after several conflicting supply schedules began circulating on social media from Monday. These schedules were attributed to SSGC, creating uncertainty among consumers about the actual timings.
The utility did not release a clear and consolidated statement until late Tuesday evening. Its latest announcement has now provided consumers with an official timetable for the winter season.
The revised Gas Supply arrangement is intended to manage limited resources while prioritising household requirements. Consumers in Sindh and Balochistan will need to plan their cooking activities around the announced hours.

The company has not indicated any round-the-clock supply under the revised arrangement. Domestic consumers are therefore advised to follow official SSGC updates for any changes to the schedule.
