Pakistan PM Praises 'Sultan Golden' for Fastest Reverse Car Driving Record

ISLAMABAD – Renowned Pakistani stuntman Sultan Golden has set a new world record for the fastest reverse driving of a car. The achievement took place in Quetta, the capital of Balochistan province, where he drove one mile in reverse in just 57 seconds.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised Sultan Golden, saying the stunt has made Pakistan proud on the global stage. “Sultan Golden has made Pakistan proud across the world,” Sharif stated. He also assured that his government is committed to supporting sports and providing facilities for athletes in all fields.

President Asif Ali Zardari also lauded the stuntman’s achievement. According to his official X account, Zardari said the record reflects the skill, courage, and dedication of Pakistani talent. He wished Sultan Golden continued success and said the accomplishment strengthens Pakistan’s positive image internationally.

Sultan Golden has been performing stunts in Pakistan since the 1980s. Despite limited infrastructure and the dominance of sports like cricket, football, and squash, Khan has continued to showcase his daring skills. He hails from the southwestern city of Pasni and earned the nickname “Golden” in his youth due to his iconic curly golden hair.

This is not Sultan Golden’s first world record. In March 1987, he entered the Guinness Book of World Records by performing the longest motorbike ramp jump in Lahore. Khan successfully jumped 249 feet, surpassing the previous record by two feet. Over the decades, he has become a symbol of Pakistan’s stunt culture and motorsports achievements.

The recent feat of reverse driving highlights both his exceptional talent and dedication to pushing the limits of motorsport stunts. Experts say such achievements encourage young Pakistanis to explore motorsports despite the lack of widespread infrastructure.
