KASUR โ A teenage girl tragically ended her life in Kasur after reportedly being blackmailed and harassed by a classmate and neighbor.
The girlโs brother, Shafqat Ali, lodged a formal complaint against Amir Shamshad. He accused Shamshad of blackmailing his sister, which ultimately led to her suicide.
According to the family, the harassment began about 20 days before her death when the girl, a private college student, was home alone. Shamshad allegedly entered the house carrying a gun and attempted to assault her.
The suspect reportedly recorded compromising videos of the girl and threatened to share them online. He then began demanding gold jewelry and money from her, increasing her emotional distress.
Shafqat Ali said his sister confided in him about the situation. However, fearing public shame, he advised her to remain silent. Despite the family confronting Shamshadโs relatives, the blackmail continued, causing the girl immense psychological pressure.
