Karachi police have arrested a suspect involved in stealing idols, silver, cash, and other valuables from a Hindu temple. Officials confirmed the arrest on Wednesday.
The suspect was traced using CCTV footage, leading police to recover the stolen items from his possession. A co-accused involved in the theft remains at large.
Police said the incident occurred on January 14 at a temple in the Doli Khata area. “Two culprits had committed theft in a temple,” they said.
The thieves reportedly broke the temple lock and stole five idols, brass and copper utensils, and silver jewelry. They also took cash totaling 75,000 rupees from the charity box. Authorities described the theft as a significant loss to the local worship community.
