QUETTA: More than 71 terrorists have been killed in recent security operations across Balochistan.

The operations were conducted during the last 96 hours, according to the ISPR.

Security Forces have intensified their counter-terrorism operations in several areas of the province. The operations include the ongoing Operation Shaban.

According to the ISPR, security personnel targeted terrorist hideouts in the Shaban area of Quetta district. Several hideouts were cleared during the operation.

Security Forces engaged terrorists during intense exchanges of fire. At least 33 terrorists were killed during Operation Shaban.

Weapons, ammunition and explosives were also recovered from the cleared hideouts. Security personnel continued clearance operations in the affected areas.

The operation was intensified over the last 72 hours. During this period, 23 terrorists were killed, according to the military’s statement.

Security Forces also cleared a significant area during the operations. Authorities said the action helped reduce threats to local communities.

Pakistan’s intelligence agencies had identified several suspected terrorist hideouts. These locations were reportedly being used by groups posing a security threat.

Based on intelligence information, Security Forces launched an operation in Ziarat and surrounding areas. The operation began on September 21, 2026.

The forces also conducted separate intelligence-based operations in other parts of Balochistan. On September 25, personnel targeted a terrorist hideout in Nushki district.

The operation in Nushki resulted in the deaths of 11 terrorists, according to the ISPR. Security Forces also recovered weapons and ammunition from the location.

In another operation in Mand, six terrorists were killed. A significant quantity of weapons and ammunition was recovered during the action.

The military statement attributed the terrorist threat to groups it described as foreign-sponsored. It also alleged links involving Indian support and Afghan-based elements.

These allegations are part of the military’s account of the security situation. The statement did not provide further details about the alleged support.

The clearance operation remains underway in the affected areas. Security Forces said operations will continue until the threat is fully neutralised.

The campaign is being conducted under the framework of Azm-e-Istehkam. The initiative was approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan.

Authorities said Security Forces and law enforcement agencies remain committed to countering terrorism. They will continue operations against groups involved in attacks and violence.
