In a major daytime robbery in Gujranwala, unknown thieves managed to steal pine nuts (chilgoza) valued at Rs3.85 million. The incident has prompted police to register a case and launch investigations.
Pine nuts are considered a high-value commodity due to their cost, sensitivity, and perishable nature. The theft has raised serious concerns among traders in the region.
According to details, the robbery took place a few days ago. CCTV footage has now emerged showing three suspects openly carrying six sacks of pine nuts and fleeing the scene. The footage has become a key piece of evidence for police.
Following the theft, a case was registered at Model Town police station. Investigations are underway, with authorities working to identify the culprits and recover the stolen goods.
