Karachi law enforcement officials have arrested three extortionists following a brief exchange of gunfire. The three accused were injured during the incident but are now in custody.

Investigations revealed that the three extortionists were allegedly involved in multiple criminal activities across New Karachi. They reportedly fired at a hardboard factory, a cosmetics shop, and a restaurant after the business owners refused to pay protection money. This pattern of intimidation has created fear among local business owners.
Syed Basit, alias Shahrukh, has a prior record. He was previously arrested and sent to jail for similar offenses, indicating a history of extortion-related activities. Authorities are now investigating the full extent of the three extortionists’ network and potential accomplices.
