FAISALABAD: The University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) has increased undergraduate fees for the 2026-27 academic session.
Several degree programs have recorded significant increases under the new fee structure. Some programs now cost more than 50% compared with the previous year.
According to the University’s fee schedules, B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture has seen a major increase. Its first-semester fee rose from Rs. 35,000 to Rs. 54,000.
This represents an increase of around 54% from the 2025-26 academic session.
BS Biotechnology has recorded an even larger increase. Its semester fee has climbed from Rs. 35,000 to Rs. 84,000.
The new structure also affects programs related to animal and poultry sciences. B.Sc. (Hons.) Poultry Sciences now costs Rs. 65,000 for the first semester.
The same fee applies to B.Sc. (Hons.) Animal Sciences and Dairy Sciences. Previously, these programs carried a first-semester fee of Rs. 44,000.
Science programs have also become more expensive under the revised schedule. BS Physics and BS Chemistry now require Rs. 78,000 for the first semester.
The previous fee for both programs stood at Rs. 55,050.
Computing-related programs have also received revised fee structures. BS Computer Science now has a first-semester fee of Rs. 60,000.
The same first-semester fee applies to Software Engineering and Information Technology. Artificial Intelligence and Data Science programs also carry the Rs. 60,000 fee.
The revised schedule has also increased the overall cost of several degrees. B.Sc. Agriculture now has a listed total fee of Rs. 432,000.
Meanwhile, the total listed fee for BS Biotechnology has reached Rs. 672,000.
The fee increases come as families continue to face higher education and living expenses. The revised costs could create additional financial pressure on students.
Middle-class families may face particular challenges in meeting the higher University fees. Undergraduate education could become harder to afford for some households.
The new fee schedule reflects substantial changes across several academic disciplines. Students and parents are expected to consider these costs when planning undergraduate admissions.
The increases cover agriculture, biotechnology, animal sciences, basic sciences and computing programs. The University’s revised structure applies to students entering during the 2026-27 academic session.
The sharpest increase is recorded in BS Biotechnology among the programs mentioned. Its first-semester fee has more than doubled from the previous schedule.
