Intense heat continued across Lahore during the weekend as temperatures remained extremely high under clear sunny skies.
According to the latest Weather Update, the city recorded an actual temperature of around 40°C during the afternoon hours. However, the RealFeel temperature climbed close to 42°C due to humidity and dry weather conditions.
Officials said the RealFeel Shade temperature also remained high at nearly 38°C, showing that heat stress continued even in shaded areas.
The latest Weather Update showed humidity levels between 30 and 40 percent. Indoor humidity was also recorded within the same range and categorized as slightly humid.
The dew point remained at 13°C, while atmospheric pressure stayed steady at 1002 millibars.
Weather data further revealed that winds were blowing from the west at around 17 kilometers per hour. Wind gusts reached nearly 19 kilometers per hour during parts of the day.
The UV Index was recorded at 4.8, which falls under the moderate category. Experts warned that direct sunlight exposure during peak afternoon hours could still affect health and increase the risk of heat exhaustion.
According to the national Weather Update, continental air is currently dominating most parts of Pakistan. This weather system is maintaining hot and dry conditions across the country.
The weather department also stated that a shallow westerly wave may affect upper regions of Pakistan from tomorrow.
Most districts in Punjab are expected to remain hot and dry over the coming days. Southern and central regions may continue experiencing severe heat conditions.
Weather experts said Lahore’s current temperatures remain significantly above seasonal averages, increasing concerns about prolonged heatwave conditions.
Meanwhile, cooler hill stations such as Murree and Galliyat are expected to remain mostly dry during daytime hours.
However, partly cloudy conditions with possible rain, thunderstorms, and gusty winds may develop in some upper areas during evening and nighttime hours.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, especially southern and central districts, partly cloudy weather with isolated rain and thunderstorms is also expected later in the day.
Authorities have advised citizens to avoid unnecessary outdoor activities during peak heat hours.
Health experts also recommended drinking plenty of water and staying indoors as much as possible.
People have been urged to wear light clothing and avoid direct sunlight for long periods to reduce the risk of heat-related illnesses.
