ATC Approves Interim Bail for Bushra Bibi in 32 Cases

A Special Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) granted interim bail to Bushra Bibi, the wife of PTI founder Imran Khan, in 32 cases on Saturday. The court approved bail for all cases except those related to the November 24-27 protests, for which she was granted protection from arrest until January 13.

Bushra Bibi’s lawyer, Muhammad Faisal Malik, submitted bail applications, which were considered by ATC Judge Amjad Ali Shah.

The court ordered that investigating officers submit the case records for review. Bushra Bibi was given temporary reprieve from arrest in the protest-related cases until January 13.

On the day of the hearing, special permission was granted for her to bring her car onto the court premises due to her high-profile status.

PTI leader Seemabia Tahir, along with her legal team, attended the court session. The legal team expressed confidence that the decision would lead to a fair review of the cases.

The next hearing is scheduled for January 13, and the court will carefully review the case records. In another development, judges from the ATC are expected to visit Adiala Jail soon to hear the case regarding the attack on the General Headquarters (GHQ).
