Dr. Ishratul Ibad, former Sindh governor, plans to launch a new political party, marking his return to politics after a hiatus. Previously leading the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Dr. Ibad has been living in the UAE since resigning in 2016.

He aims to unite MQM-Pakistan (MQM-P) leaders in his new venture, despite past differences. Dr. Ibad criticized the current government for its limited time, which officials dispute, and highlighted severe political, economic, and security issues.
