Despite attempts to contact them, the organizers did not request an extension. Additionally, participants threw stones, injuring SSP Safe City Shoaib Khan and three constables. Police used tear gas to disperse the crowd, and more forces were deployed.
The District Magistrate had earlier warned PTI to adhere to the NOC guidelines, but the rally exceeded the permitted time. As a result, clashes erupted, leading to a police response.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi took notice of the situation, requested a report from IG Islamabad, and ensured medical care for injured officers, including SSP Shoaib Khan.
