Khawar Maneka Alleges Imran Khan’s Role in Disrupting His Married Life with Bushra Bibi

As new revelations against former Prime Minister Imran Khan continue to emerge through press conferences and TV interviews, fresh allegations have surfaced from Khawar Maneka, the former spouse of Bushra Bibi, targeting the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman.

In a live appearance on a show this Monday, Maneka pointed fingers at the PTI leader, asserting that Imran Khan disrupted his long-lasting marriage with Bushra Bibi by choosing her as his spiritual guide or “pir.” “Our marriage lasted for 28 years… we had a very happy married life, and Imran Khan ruined it by assuming the role of a devotee,” he expressed.

Maneka revealed that Bushra Bibi married Imran a mere one and a half months after their divorce in November 2017, a fact unbeknownst to him and his children. “I denied knowledge of this marriage when questioned by the media because we were unaware,” he stated.

Although Khan officially wedded Bushra Bibi in January 2018, images of their marriage surfaced on February 18. Maneka expressed his discomfort with Imran’s uninvited visits to his home and his disapproval of Bushra’s meetings with the PTI chief.

According to Maneka, during the PTI sit-in in Islamabad, Bushra’s sister, Maryam Wattoo, orchestrated an initial meeting between Imran Khan and Bushra.

Subsequently, Maneka claimed that the PTI leader and Bushra began frequenting meetings in Islamabad. He divulged details, indicating that Bushra would engage in lengthy late-night phone conversations with Imran using a phone number provided by Farah Gogi, at Imran Khan’s request.

Despite having a residence in Islamabad’s Bani Gala vicinity, Maneka alleged that Bushra Bibi would clandestinely meet the PTI chief at his nearby residence without his permission. Maneka recounted how, six months before their marriage, Bushra separated from him and relocated to her residence in Pakpattan city, refusing to return despite his insistence.

The breaking point arrived when Maneka received a message from Farah Gogi, asking him to divorce Bushra. “I confronted Bushra, asking if she wanted a divorce. She remained silent,” he recalled.

Maneka asserted that he sent divorce papers to Bushra through Farah Gogi on November 14, 2017. He later claimed that Farah Gogi and Zulfi Bukhari, a close aide to Imran Khan, urged him to alter the divorce date on the papers, emphasizing that “Imran Khan wants to become the prime minister,” urging silence on the matter.
