PML-N Leads As AJK Announces Election Results From 7 Constituencies

MUZAFFARABAD โ€“ The Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Ghulam Mustafa Mughal, has announced the official results for seven constituencies in the Muzaffarabad division. The results show that the PML-N secured four seats, while the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) won three.

According to the official announcement, the PML-N emerged as the leading party in the division by winning a majority of the seven constituencies. The PPP also recorded a strong performance by securing victories in three seats.

In constituency LA-25 Neelum-1, PML-N candidate Shah Ghulam Qadir won the election with 19,201 votes. The PPP candidate finished second after receiving 13,826 votes.

The contest in LA-26 Neelum-2 produced a different result. PPP candidate Mian Abdul Waheed secured victory with 16,524 votes. He defeated PML-N leader Shah Ghulam Qadir, who received 14,501 votes.

Another PPP victory came in LA-29 Muzaffarabad-3. Sardar Mukhtar Ahmed won the seat with 20,045 votes. PML-N candidate Barrister Iftikhar Gillani finished as the runner-up with 16,507 votes.

The PML-N returned to the winning side in LA-30 Muzaffarabad-4. Candidate Mustafa Bashir secured the seat by receiving 17,825 votes. PPP candidate Mubashir Munir Awan came second with 12,323 votes.

In LA-31 Muzaffarabad-5, PML-N candidate Saqib Majeed Raza recorded a decisive victory. He secured 32,511 votes, defeating PPP leader Chaudhry Latif Akbar, who received 23,957 votes.

The PML-N also won LA-32 Muzaffarabad-6. Its candidate received 21,613 votes to defeat PPP candidate Ashfaq Zafar, who secured 19,274 votes in the constituency.

The final result from LA-33 Muzaffarabad-7 went in favor of the PPP. Dewan Ali Khan won the seat with 26,357 votes. PML-N candidate Chaudhry Muhammad Rasheed finished second after securing 21,841 votes.

With these results, the Muzaffarabad division concluded with four seats won by the PML-N and three by the PPP. The outcome reflects a closely contested election between the two major political parties across the region.

The Chief Election Commissioner announced the results after the completion of the counting process in all seven constituencies. Election officials confirmed the final vote counts for each constituency before releasing the official results.

The latest outcome gives the PML-N an edge in the Muzaffarabad division, while the PPP maintained a competitive presence by winning nearly half of the contested seats. The results are expected to play an important role in the overall political landscape of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
