Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari welcomed the announcement of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif’s plan to return to Pakistan after a four-year hiatus.
Bilawal stated that it had been PPP’s long-standing demand for Nawaz Sharif to return and that his party was happy about his decision to come back.

He emphasized the importance of working for Pakistan’s development and commended Nawaz Sharif’s return ahead of the general elections in 2024.
Bilawal also mentioned that PPP would contest the elections without forming alliances, including with the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), and ruled out the possibility of an alliance with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) until certain conditions were met, particularly related to the events of May 9.
