Abdul Razzaq Criticizes Shoaib Malik's Batting in PSL 9

Former cricketer Abdul Razzaq recently criticized Shoaib Malik, alleging that he played selfishly during a recent match between Karachi Kings and Multan Sultans in the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

Despite Malik’s commendable innings of 53 runs off 35 deliveries, Razzaq accused him of prioritizing personal performance over the team’s interests while expressing his views on a local news channel.

Razzaq remarked, “Shoaib Malik has been playing for many years. His innings could be good for himself, not for the team. A player is someone who plays for a team. In this kind of cricket, you can’t sustain pressure after 42 or 43 years.”

During the match, Karachi Kings faced a daunting chase after Multan Sultans set a formidable total of 185 runs in the first innings. Razzaq believed Malik’s innings could have had a greater impact if he had accelerated the scoring rate.

Despite contributions from skipper Shan Masood (30 runs) and Kieron Pollard (28 runs off 29 deliveries), Karachi Kings suffered a defeat against Multan Sultans, losing the match by 55 runs. The team’s overall performance failed to meet expectations.
