Ali Zafar Set to Elevate PSL 9 Anthem with Melodic Presence

The possibility of Ali Zafar lending his voice to the upcoming HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) has emerged after a significant change in the situation following the departure of Zaka Ashraf.

Ali Zafar had previously sung anthems for the initial three seasons of the HBL PSL. However, in 2018, he faced harassment allegations from fellow singer Meesha Shafi, which had a significant impact on his career. Since then, he hasn’t been given the opportunity to sing the anthem for the PSL.

Although Ali Zafar was not proven guilty, the allegations left a stain on his reputation. Despite efforts to clear his name, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) recorded three anthems for the 9th season of the PSL in Ali Zafar’s voice, with one of them selected. However, objections were raised by a female official within the PSL franchise, stating that reintegrating Ali Zafar into the league could have a negative impact given the past events.

With the departure of Zaka Ashraf, who did not sign the agreement, the situation appears to be changing, opening up the possibility of Ali Zafar being involved in the anthem for the upcoming PSL season.
