Babar’s transformation in T20 cricket is evident since his struggles during the Test series in Australia. His adjusted batting approach has not only benefitted Pakistan but also his PSL franchise, Peshawar Zalmi. Previously labeled as a batter excelling primarily in the longer format, Babar has now established himself as a formidable presence in T20 cricket, capable of matching the performance of renowned power hitters.

His recent successes, including three consecutive fifties in the away series against New Zealand, indicate a newfound freedom and fearlessness in his batting approach, particularly since stepping down from captaincy. With 498 runs in the ongoing PSL season, Babar has positioned himself as a key player in Peshawar Zalmi’s quest for the coveted trophy, providing the team with a strong chance of securing victory for the first time since 2017.
